THE FRANK BROWN SONGWRITER’S FESTIVAL  Every November is the pilgrimage of Nashville hit writers, artists, and other notables to the sun drenched sugar white sands of Perdido Key, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama for the 27th Annual FRANK BROWN SONGWRITER’S INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL. This annual festival is 10 fun filled days of great entertainers and artists covering a wide variety of venues in the area. You’ll be wowed by songs you recognize from the radio and some new ones you’ll have the opportunity to preview. This is one of the best songwriter’s festivals in the world. Marc-Alan Barnette has proudly been associated with the festival since 1995 and will be back this year to provide his own energetic shows. In addition, Barnette hosts the MAB songwriter weekend. This is held the first weekend, November 11th – 13th, to include supervised song writing, career direction, song critiques, and a unique look at the Nashville songwriting. Also expect to be introduced to hit writers you wouldn’t ordinarily have a chance to visit with in this relaxed, intimate setting. In order to maintain the personalized weekend of songwriting, the weekend is limited to 10 people who will actively participate in: · Supervised co-writing · Performance critiques · Song critiques · Networking opportunities · Open mic and writer opportunities · Hospitality room visits · Meeting with hit writers and publishers Cost for the entire songwriter weekend (all 3 days!) is $325. Lodging not included but you can expect VERY reasonable prices for the beginning of the off-season for the area…right on the beach!
